Using Custom Fonts in Flex Terminal Emulator
Flex Terminal Emulator supports the use of custom fonts, allowing you to tailor the display to your preferences or organizational standards.
Available Fonts
All fixed-pitch (monospace) fonts installed on your Windows system are automatically available within Flex Terminal Emulator. You can select these fonts from the View ribbon tab to change the appearance of your terminal sessions.
Adding New Fonts
If the existing fonts do not meet your needs, you can install additional fonts in Windows.
Steps to Install Custom Fonts
Download fonts from a trusted source (free or paid).
- If the download is compressed, extract the contents of the ZIP file.
- Right-click each font file and select Install.
Once installed, the fonts will be available for use in Flex Terminal Emulator.
Notes
- Only monospace (fixed-pitch) fonts should be used to ensure proper screen alignment.
- If you install new fonts while Flex Terminal Emulator is running, you must restart the application for the new fonts to appear.
- It is recommended to install both Regular and Bold variants of a font (if available) for the best display experience.
Using custom fonts can improve readability and help standardize the appearance of terminal sessions across your environment.
